Our St. John Congregation started with a vision. We wanted to take a rundown building in an under-resourced Austin neighborhood and use it to bring healing, restoration, and hope to our city. Since 2011, a lot has changed for our congregation, but that core passion remains steadfast. We want to be a people who reflect God’s heart and the beauty of the gospel in the place He’s called us to.
Whether you’re a single professional, a new or seasoned family, or an empty nester, there’s a place for you here! We host worship services, equipping opportunities, community gatherings, and more to create welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life can come together to worship Jesus.
The Austin Stone St. John Congregation began with a vision—transforming a rundown building in an under-resourced neighborhood into a place of healing, restoration, and hope. Since 2011, much has changed, but our radical passion for the gospel remains unwavering. We’re a group of imperfect people from all walks of life who recognize our need for God’s grace. We’re committed to ridiculous hospitality, deep faith, and transformative spiritual growth.
We’re located in central Austin with young adults, families, and empty nesters from all ethnic, social, and cultural backgrounds. No matter your story, there’s a place for you here!
Through worship services, equipping opportunities, community gatherings, and family ministries, we’re intentional about radically living out God’s calling here and among the nations. Join us as we display the gospel and glorify God by building a flourishing community of hope!

Each Sunday, we host programming for children 8 weeks old through 4th grade at 9am and kids 8 weeks old through 5th grade 11am. Thoroughly vetted and trained volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for kids to worship Jesus in a large-group setting and learn about the Bible in a smaller group. For nursery-aged children, we provide a caring space where they are prayed over and cared for during services.
Students in 5th–7th grade meet on Sundays during the 11am service to build community, have fun, and establish firm foundations of faith!
Students in 8th–12th grade are encouraged to integrate into their church family on Sunday mornings. This includes worshiping alongside their family or friends during service or serving in other ministries.
Students in 6th–12th grade meet weekly on Sundays from 5–7:30pm at our St. John Campus for food, fun, worship, and gospel-centered teaching. Middle and high school small groups (DCOMMs) also meet during this time.
