As part of the Family Ministries Team at The Austin Stone Community Church, the Family Ministry Resident will be responsible for furthering our mission of partnering with parents, developing leaders, and discipling kids.
The Family Ministry Resident will report to their Congregation Family Ministry Director.
As part of the Family Ministry Team, the resident will be responsible for working alongside the Family Ministry Director and Kids and Students staff to lead the Kids and Students Ministries at their congregation. The primary purpose of a Family Ministry Resident is for their personal (character) and professional (competency) development through service and leadership opportunities in the ministry.
The primary mission of Family Ministry at The Austin Stone is to partner with parents and develop leaders to disciple our kids and teens to love God, love the church, love the city, and love the nations. The Family Ministry Resident will assist in all aspects of the ministry to achieve this primary mission. The resident will report to their Congregation Family Ministry Director, but will regularly collaborate and work alongside Kids and Students staff and residents of the other congregations. The Austin Stone is one church with six expressions represented at each of our campuses. While primary leadership and service responsibilities will be dependent on the resident’s specific congregation, Family Ministry Residents will also work with the other congregations to plan, coordinate, and execute churchwide events and ministry initiatives for both Kids and Students Ministry.
