About The Austin Stone South

A Thriving Church in South Austin, TX

Back in 2013, our South Congregation was created and fueled by a desire to love our city and the people God has placed within it. Even as many things changed throughout the years, that core passion remains—we're devoted to Christ and devoted to one another. Here, we're more than just a group of people gathering once a week on Sundays—we're a family.

Even though we come from all different backgrounds and walks of life, we’re united by our deep love for Jesus and a heart for serving each other as brothers and sisters. But this family isn’t just for us—we want you to be a part of it!

Welcome to The Austin Stone South

In 2013, our church was founded upon a passion to love our city and its people. After meeting in Paredes Middle School for a decade, we moved into our permanent location in 2023. While we've experienced many changes, our commitment to Christ and one another remains strong. We're not just a group of people who meet on Sundays—we’re a family.

Though we come from different backgrounds, we’re united by our love for Jesus and desire to serve one another as brothers and sisters. God designed the church to be a place for continuous growth, and we’re thrilled you’re considering joining us on this journey. We’re a mix of young professionals, married couples, busy families, and empty nesters. Wherever you are in life, I hope to see you on a Sunday!

Kids Ministry at The Austin Stone South

Each Sunday, we host programming for children 8 weeks old through 5th grade at 9am. Thoroughly vetted and trained volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for kids to worship Jesus in a large-group setting and learn about the Bible in a smaller group. For nursery-aged children, we provide a caring space where they are prayed over and cared for during services.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect on a Sunday morning?

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted and guided by our Welcome Team! They’ll be happy to help answer any questions you may have. From there, feel free to stop by our Connections area. We’d love to meet you!

During the service, you’ll worship alongside a live band and hear biblically-based teaching from an in-person sermon or a broadcasted sermon from one of our other congregations!

How do I check in my child on Sundays?

Signs will point you to the check-in area, where one of our Kids volunteers can help! We are committed to safety, so every child must be checked in and out using a check-in system.

At your first visit, you’ll provide some basic family information, including your full name, your child’s full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. Once you’ve checked in your child, you’ll receive corresponding parent and child stickers, which you’ll use to pick up your child after the worship service.

Do you have ASL interpretation at your services?

Yes! We offer live American Sign Language interpretation during our 9am service, equipping classes, and Bible studies. We also have community groups for our Deaf brothers and sisters to connect with! For more information, click here.

Do you have Spanish interpretation at your services?

We don’t currently have Spanish interpretation, but our Downtown Congregation offers live American Sign Language interpretation during their 11am service every Sunday!
