Discipleship Communities at The Austin Stone

Following Jesus together, one day at a time

What are Discipleship Communities?

Discipleship Communities (DComms) at The Austin Stone are accountable, familial communities that pursue discipleship together. If being a disciple of Jesus means obeying what He teaches, loving what He loves, going where He leads, and enjoying the life He offers, then the goal of DComms is to help us do just that.

What We Do

Accountable

We are accountable because Jesus is worth it and life can be hard. Discipleship is both the aim and the means by which we become more like Him, so we can’t assume being in proximity to others is enough.

What We Do

We believe that discipleship is most fruitful when done in community.

Familial

We are familial because the church is also God's family. The way we gather as brothers and sisters in Christ proclaims the gospel to the world and helps us persevere in faith.
