As The Austin Stone’s oldest campus, we’ve experienced a lot of change since 2002. But our heart for this city and the people who call it home has remained. We’re not located in the center of Austin by coincidence—we’re here because we believe God is inviting us to play an active role in proclaiming His gospel in our city. And we’d love for you to be a part of that story.
Because we’re located in downtown Austin, the people who call our church home come from all different demographics and walks of life. Whether you’re a college student looking to connect, a family wanting to get plugged in, or an empty nester hoping for community, there’s a place for you here.

College students attend multiple Austin Stone locations on Sunday mornings, but most of them gather at the Downtown Campus! During the week, college students meet in small groups throughout Austin in apartments, houses, dorms, and campus facilities. These groups typically share meals, read the Bible, pray, and enjoy doing life together in Austin. We have co-ed, all-guys, and all-girls groups that college students can join at any time throughout the semester!
Each Sunday, we host programming for children 8 weeks old through 4th grade at 9am and kids eight weeks old through 5th grade at 11am. Thoroughly vetted and trained volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for kids to worship Jesus in a large-group setting and learn about the Bible in a smaller group. For nursery-aged children, we provide a caring space where they are prayed over and cared for during services.
Students in 5th–7th grade meet on Sundays during the 11am service in the Austin High School Library for games, donuts, and discussion-based lessons that empower students to read the Bible on their own!
Students in 8th–12th grade are encouraged to integrate into their church family on Sunday mornings. This includes worshiping alongside their family or friends during service or serving in other ministries. We also have regular social events throughout the semester for them!
Students in 6th–12th grade meet throughout the week in smaller discipleship groups led by Students Ministry leaders! These groups provide a space for students to build deep friendships and a foundation of faith.

Parking is available in surface lots on the east side of the building (accessible by West Cesar Chavez Street) or on the west side of the building (accessible by Stephen F. Austin Drive). Street parking is also available surrounding the campus. Additional parking can be found in the lots near the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail (under MoPac) or at the WAYA fields off Reserve Road.
Since we’re located in the heart of downtown near some of Austin’s best trails, we recommend arriving early to find parking!
Part of the great thing about living in Austin is how active our city is! But that also means there are frequent road closures near Austin High Schools on Sundays due to local races and marathons. We proactively communicate during those times, and we also regularly update this article with specific instructions.
Signs will point you to the check-in area, where one of our Kids volunteers can help! We are committed to safety, so every child must be checked in and out using a check-in system.
At your first visit, you’ll provide some basic family information, including your full name, your child’s full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. Once you’ve checked in your child, you’ll receive corresponding parent and child stickers, which you’ll use to pick up your child after the worship service.
For our classes that take place on Sundays, we utilize a variety of spaces in the main building of Austin High School. If a class occurs on a weekday, we typically meet at another Austin Stone campus or in homes across the city. Either way, if you’re enrolled in a class, we’ll always send you specific details on where we’ll be meeting!
We don’t currently have live interpretation, but our South Congregation offers live American Sign Language interpretation during their 9am service every Sunday! We also post each sermon online with closed captioning.
Yes! Spanish interpretation is available live during the 11am service.
Si! Interpretación en Español disponible en vivo durante el servicio de las 11am.
