Downtown Road Closures

Last modified on Thursday, May 2, 2024, 11:00am CST

Whether concerts, conferences, or marathons, it seems like there's always something going on in Austin. On weekends when events are taking place in Downtown Austin, be sure to leave your homes with plenty of extra time to account for traffic. If you want to avoid delays altogether, park in the Zilker lot and walk across the pedestrian bridge, or utilize our online broadcast for worship service.

Below are maps to show how to access Austin High School for the morning services.

Red Route on Map
  • Exit Mopac onto Lake Austin Boulevard.
  • At the Atlanta Street intersection, go straight, then veer right onto Atlanta Street toward Veterans Drive. Note: Some barricades may appear to block this area, but you can drive around them. Officers will have a controlled entry lane for Austin Stone congregants to enter and drive to the Austin High West and East lot.
  • Turn left onto Veterans Drive / Stephen F. Austin Drive and drive toward the West parking lot of Austin High School. You can also drive up Stephen F. Austin Drive to access the larger East lot of Austin High School.
