From the amazing food, good vibes, and arguably the best music in the world, we think living in Austin is incredible! It's no surprise that ATX is home to one of the most popular music festivals in the U.S., and it's happening next door to where Downtown meets on Sundays (literally)!
With ACL Fest happening this weekend (Oct 2–4) and next (Oct 9–11), here are a few important notes to make your Sunday worship experience smooth and stress-free:
- 9am and 11am services will occur normally – There will not be any major road closures that will impede direct access to Austin High School. (That said, consider road closures directly around Zilker Park for the festival.)
- Officer-controlled parking lots – AISD officers will be stationed at our parking lots to help keep our parking areas limited to our attendees. When asked, you can tell them, "I'm here to attend the Austin Stone," and they will let you in!
- Unique parking impacts – Pay attention to updated signage in the area (eg., event-specific street parking). The school district will also sell parking spaces for ACL to generate additional funds for the school. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR PARKED AT AUSTIN HIGH SCHOOL after the 9am or 11am services, whether to attend the festival or just grab lunch. We must leave the facilities after the 11am service is complete, and if you do not have a paid reservation, they will tow your vehicle.
