The 7 Basic Truths provides a theological framework for children by summarizing the gospel in kid-friendly language. Kids will spend time memorizing them and are encouraged to believe, apply, and share them with others!

Each Sunday, preschool and elementary school kids spend time in both small and large group settings. During the large-group time, children participate in truth-filled worship together and learn about the Bible before splitting into age-specific small groups. In these smaller groups, kids spend time studying Scripture while growing in their relationships with one another and their leaders!
Every year in our Sunday programming, kids walk through a curriculum that maps the entire story of the Bible in chronological order. We believe it’s essential for children to know how the stories of the Bible all point to Jesus! By walking through the history of redemption in a kid-friendly way, we hope to help children understand their need for Jesus and His gift of salvation for them!

Each Sunday, we host programming for children 8 weeks old through 4th grade at 9am and kids eight weeks old through 5th grade at 11am. Thoroughly vetted and trained volunteers provide a safe and fun environment for kids to worship Jesus in a large-group setting and learn about the Bible in a smaller group. For nursery-aged children, we provide a caring space where they are prayed over and cared for during services.

Upon arrival, you’ll follow the signage to the Kids check-in area. If you need any help, find a volunteer wearing a red Austin Stone shirt, and they’ll point you in the right direction.
Because of our commitment to safety, you’ll check in your child using a check-in system. If your child has any special needs or allergies that our team should know, please tell the volunteers at check-in so we can accommodate everyone safely!
During the programming, your child will hear a kid-friendly lesson about the gospel, worship as a group, complete activities that relate to the lesson, and learn a monthly memory verse in a fun and safe environment!
Signs will point you to the check-in area, where one of our Kids volunteers can help! We are committed to safety, so every child must be checked in and out using a check-in system.
At your first visit, you’ll provide some basic family information, including your full name, your child’s full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. Once you’ve checked in your child, you’ll receive corresponding parent and child stickers, which you’ll use to pick up your child after the worship service.
Each Kids environment is supervised by multiple volunteers who have undergone an extensive onboarding process that includes an application, an in-person interview, a background check, policy training, and completion of an accredited sexual abuse awareness training. All Kids areas are secure, and only parents or guardians, screened ministry volunteers, and screened church staff are allowed in the children’s hallways. Contracted police officers also monitor in or around all Kids environments.
If you have any additional questions regarding the practices or policies surrounding children’s safety, please email your congregation’s Kids director.
We want our Kids Ministry to reflect the truth of Scripture that every child is made in the image of God and worthy of love and care. Kids ministry strives to provide an inclusive, gospel-centered environment for children with special physical, mental, behavioral, medical, or emotional needs. If your child has special needs or you would like more information, please email your congregation’s Kids director.
Is there something we didn’t cover that you’d like to know more about? Feel free to contact your congregation’s Kids director with any additional questions!
