Through local and global mission efforts, we serve our city and the nations by meeting needs, sharing the gospel, and equipping disciples to live sent.
We partner with trusted nonprofits across Austin to care for vulnerable communities by supporting foster families, serving refugees, mentoring at-risk youth, and responding to crisis needs. We equip volunteers to meet both physical and spiritual needs in ways that reflect the love of Jesus and invite others into life with Him.

God put our congregation in the heart of Austin for a reason. We’re dedicated to seeking ways to love this city and tangibly meet needs around us. We’re eager for that to happen in Austin, in Texas, and beyond as we live out our mission to love the city and the nations. To support this, we offer regular local mission opportunities, as well as global mission events, classes, and training. For more information about Missions Ministry at Downtown, contact Sarah Zarr.

Start by asking God where He might be calling you to serve in the city, and then take a step to begin volunteering. You can connect with your congregation’s Missions Lead for more opportunities and ways to get involved!
No! Training is provided to equip you with ministry expectations, cultural insights, logistics, and guidance on abiding in Jesus (John 15). Serving on the trip flows out of your relationship with Him, allowing you to love and serve others as He leads.
Ask God where He is calling you to engage in His global mission, and take a step of obedience. You can pray for goers and ministry efforts, join a short-term trip, serve on an advocacy team, or welcome people from the nations in Austin. Connect with your Missions Lead to get started.
You can pray for the nations and goers, share resources or talents, or give to the For the Nations Fund to support goers and advance field ministry.
