Join us on the first Saturday of every month to volunteer with Mobile Loaves and Fishes—the largest program feeding the homeless and working poor in Austin.
There are two volunteer teams you can serve on:
- Make Ready Team: volunteers will serve from 2-3pm to prepare sandwiches and other meal items and assist with loading trucks with food, clothing, and other toiletries.
- Truck Run: volunteers help with distribution of food and other items at each of the stops during their shift. The goal of each truck run is to connect with our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. An average truck run generally lasts around two hours or until they run out of food.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
