Casa Marianella is an emergency homeless shelter that's served recently-arrived men and women immigrants, asylum seekers, and asylees since 1986 in East Austin. Casa Marianella’s Adult House has 35 spaces for single men and women in need. The length of stay ranges from a few days to a few months.
Groups can sign up to provide a meal on a monthly or quarterly basis for the residents. This helps build community, which is a huge need for these newly arriving immigrants who lack support systems. Block Parties are very flexible and can be held on weeknights or weekends and be scheduled by what works best for your group.
