Read Nehemiah 6:10-14. What does Shemaiah tempt Nehemiah with? Why do you think Nehemiah is not afraid?
Nehemiah fears the Lord. What do you think is the difference between fearing God and fearing man? If you have a hard time coming up with an answer, read Proverbs 29:25, Deuteronomy 10:12-13, and Matthew 10:28.
Read John 14:27. Spend some time meditating on Jesus' words in John 14:27. Where is your heart troubled? Confess these things to one another and to God in prayer.
