Worship Resident

Summary

As part of a Congregation team at the Austin Stone Community Church, the Worship Resident will be responsible for helping lead and shape worship culture at one of our congregations alongside and under the direction of the Congregation Worship Leader; receiving development in the areas of music, worship leadership, pastoral care, and production; and any other development opportunities advised by Austin Stone Worship Leadership.

The Worship Resident position will provide leadership experience and pastoral growth as well as musical, theological and character development. In addition to being a part of our team, residents go through our Development Program and are placed at our congregations with the intention of leading and gaining experience through the various worship opportunities available at that congregation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Attend all required events and activities for the [congregation], including staff meetings, prayer meetings, special events, retreats and staff development days.
• Serve and partner with a congregation of The Austin Stone
• Lead worship in main service congregation as determined by congregation worship leader
• Participate in Worship Team album projects and events, as approved by your supervisor, in order to stay connected to the overall worship culture. This includes, but is not limited to, Worship Team Vision Nights, Jam Nights, team retreats, family dinners, and other team gatherings.
• Complete ASDP (Austin Stone Development Program) during course of residency.
• Go through partnership class and become a partner of the Austin Stone Community Church.
• Gain experience in Austin Stone Music, Design, Story, Production and Development throughout the course of residency. 
• Any other development opportunities that the Austin Stone Worship Leadership and Supervisor suggest during the course of residency.
