Laura earned a bachelor's in Dance with a minor in Psychology from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. She then completed her master's in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) under the supervision of Crystal Wilkins, LPC-S, RPT-S, CCLS and a registered Dance/Movement Therapist receiving board-certification supervision from Shannon Gauthier, MA, LMHC, BC-DMT, CMA.

Interests & Specialties

Laura has experience in crisis counseling for those having experienced acute trauma, diagnosable disorders including schizophrenia, bi-polar, and adjustment disorder, as well as serving individuals on forensic units within the state hospital system. Laura has worked with various ages including children, adults, and older adults. She utilizes tools both from general talk therapy as well as dance/movement therapy in order to best support the individuals she serves. She currently sees clients ages 13 and older.
