Education & Experience

Con received his Bachelor of Science and his Bachelor of Science Honours in Quantity Surveying from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. During his quantity surveying career in South Africa, he completed his Bachelor of Theology Honours and his Master of Theology at the South African Theological Seminary. Con worked and ministered in the Middle East for more than a year before moving to Shanghai, China where he taught at various universities for three years before taking on the role as Discipleship Director at Shanghai Community Fellowship. After eight years in Shanghai, he relocated to Austin with his family.

Con is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). He completed his level 1 and level 2 certification of Equipped to Counsel (ETC) through ABC.

Interests & Specialties

Con has counseled men in areas such as addictions (including pornography), depression, anxiety, grief, loss, dating relationships, pre-marriage, marriage, parenting, infidelity and identity struggles.

Personal

A native South African, Con met and married his Texan wife in Shanghai, China. Following the birth of their twin boys and daughter in Shanghai, they relocated to Austin to be closer to family. As a recovered alcoholic since 2007, Con has experienced God’s transforming power and care first hand. He enjoys traveling, listening to music and podcasts, drinking lots of coffee, and spending time with his family and friends.
