Lia received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010. From there, she obtained her certification as an emergency medical technician and worked as a first responder for six years. During that time, she began graduate studies to become a counselor. She completed her master’s degree in Counseling in December 2020 from Crown College. Lia has worked with adult individuals as well as premarital and married couples. She has experience working with clients with depression, anxiety, cultural issues, childhood trauma, marital conflict, communication issues, sexual issues, and sexual abuse. Lia uses professional methodologies to explore the events of clients’ lives and the gospel as a means to interpret them and help clients make meaning of them.
