Education & Experience

Education & Experience

Leslie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications. She's currently pursuing a master’s in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Her initial desire to pursue counseling began in 2015 when she completed an eight-month biblical counseling training program through The Austin Stone. Over the past 10 years, Leslie has gained valuable experience working in college ministry, the corporate world, and the mental health field —all of which led her to pursue counseling full time.

Leslie finds great hope in this promise of Jesus Christ, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10 ESV). She recognizes that the key to this abundant life is not avoiding the inevitable pains and challenges of life, but rather learning how to live full lives in the midst of them. She deeply values the client-therapist relationship and providing a safe space for her clients to share openly. She takes a holistic approach to counseling by considering all aspects of a person’s life and aims to walk alongside them providing guidance as they pursue healing, wholeness, goals, and dreams.

Interests & Specialties

Leslie’s areas of focus include anxiety/depression, grief/loss, relationship issues, life transitions, body image, and faith questions.

Leslie is from East Texas but made her way back to Austin to plant roots with her husband and favorite person, Damon. In her free time, she enjoys laughing and not taking herself too seriously, exploring activities outdoors and getting sunshine, exercising, really good food with even better company, riding scooters and bikes, and anything that involves quality time with her family and friends.
