Care & CounselingRecovery & Support Group Intern
The Austin Stone is looking for an intern to help in researching resources, assisting with the logistical side of running the ministry, administrative duties, and participating with developing the ministry as it grows. This job will require 12-15 hours per week (including Wednesday night Recovery meetings and other support group meeting nights).
Requirements: experience with recovery and/or support groups, and administrative skills.

CollegeMissional Community Campus Missionaries
The missional community and college ministry team are interested in recent college graduates who have a desire to spend one year practicing missional community at campuses in Austin as Level 1 Interns. These campus missionaries will interact with both our missional community team and our college ministry team for training and leadership, but primarily be focused on planting missional communities on campus through outreach. This internship would be excellent for individuals who desire to learn by experience what it looks like to plant a church from the harvest.

EquippingWomen’s Development Program Intern
The Austin Stone’s equipping team is looking for a level 2-3 intern to help with logistics for the Women’s Development Program launching in the Fall. They would handle communication, coordinate logistics and drive execution of details for the women’s discipleship program. The position will require 12-25 hours per week (however, these hours will vary from week to week depending on the event schedule).
Requirements: The right candidate for this job will have initiative, administrative gifting and an excitement about ownership. Skills include coordination and administration. Project or event management experience is preferred, but not required.
Contact: Fabienne HarfordTeam Development InternThe Austin Stone’s equipping team is looking for a level 1-2 intern to develop and lead teams from the body. They will be responsible for recruiting, shepherding, training and managing volunteer teams for equipping environments such as classes, forums, conferences or retreats. The position will require 20-40 hours per week (however, these hours will vary from week to week depending on the event schedule).
Requirements: The right candidate for this job will enjoy spending time with people and building leaders. They will have initiative and an excitement about ownership. Skills include coordination, administration and shepherding. Project or event management experience is preferred, but not required.

They would coordinate classes, conferences, forums, and luncheons through leading event teams, coordinating deadlines, executing administration and coordinating logistics. For the City NetworkTotal City Sports Intern
The For the City Network is looking for an intern who will assist in running Total City Sports Camp with responsibilities ranging from all or some of the following: general camp operations, administration, facilities management, marketing of the camp, etc. This intern will be required to attend weekly staff meetings for both the Austin Stone and the For the City Network as well as participate in general intern programming and Total City Sports Camp.
Contact: Justin LopezFor the City Intern - Website DesignThe For the City Network is looking for an intern who will build high quality, functional websites for the different initiatives, programs, and projects that the network is involved in. Total City Sports Camp, the St. John 5k, HopeFest, For the City Network’s intranet, and other events would benefit greatly from websites that could effectively communicate the vision and history of these different events, general info, and blogs. Ideally the intern would create a format that would allow a template to be adjusted and used for all future website initiatives. This intern position would report to both the director of the For the City Network and communications team of the Austin Stone.

This intern will be required to attend weekly staff meetings for both the Austin Stone and the For the City Network as well as participate in general intern programming. Software development background with experience in agile development preferred.
Contact: Justin LopezFor the City - Network Development InternThe For the City Network is also looking for an intern who will assist in the development of the network concept as FTCN begins defining the different types of collaborations in the city, as well as networks that develop around individuals with a cause or common skill set in the city. This intern will be required to attend weekly staff meetings for both the Austin Stone and the For the City Network as well as participate in general intern programming. Business degree preferred (either pursuing it or already obtained it), but not required.

International and Local MissionCollege Student Mobilization Intern
This intern will create, organize, and administer college student missional mobilization environments and trips for the Austin Stone. They will also serve on our mission trip coaching team, helping set up mission trips and coach their leaders.

KidStuffPreschool Large Group Worship Intern
The Austin Stone KidStuff is looking for a Level 2 intern to develop and extend our large group worship time for preschoolers. Responsibilities will include writing large group lessons for preschoolers, coming up with creative ways to communicate truth to preschoolers, and developing leaders to lead these worship times. This intern will also be responsible for helping to support our preschool leaders on Sundays.
The right candidate for this job will have a heart to see children learning truths about God and a desire to come up with new and exciting ways to communicate this truth. Experience with puppets or preschool children is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities will also include developing and executing recruiting strategies to help us support our ever-growing number of children. This intern will also be responsible for helping to support our preschool leaders on Sundays.
The right candidate for this job will have a heart to see children learning truths about God and to support and recruit volunteer leaders to achieve this goal. Skills include leadership, shepherding, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities will include recruiting, training, scheduling, and encouraging leaders to help with our lighting, sound, and projection equipment. This intern will be responsible for ensuring that all sound effects, light effects, and projection slides are executed with precision and excellence to enrich our grade school worship experience. He or she will also take the lead on maintaining, purchasing, and replacing our technical equipment.
The right candidate for this job will have a heart to see children worshiping God, and a desire to work behind the scenes to accomplish this. Skills include organization, shepherding, and leadership. Experience with sound equipment, ProPresenter, or lighting equipment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities will include recruiting, training, scheduling, and encouraging our three skit teams, as well as editing or writing skits to go along with our weekly lessons. This intern will also be responsible for helping to setup and tear down our set each week, as well as building unity and community among our skit teams.
The right candidate for this job will have a heart to see children worshiping God and equipped with the truth, and a desire to support skit team members in this goal. Skills include organization, shepherding, and leadership. Acting experience and writing experience is encouraged, but not required.

Missional CommunityMissional Community Storytelling Intern
The missional community team is looking for a level 3 intern to assist us in interviewing leaders and collecting stories of what God has been doing in the midst of our missional communities. The intern would be responsible for following up on story opportunities, interviewing leaders and group members, and creatively telling stories through appropriate media. Ideally, the applicant would have a background or interest in journalism, photography, or videography. Additionally, the intern will put into practice the principles of missional community leadership.

StudentsStudent Ministry Production Intern
TeenRock at the Austin Stone is looking for someone who will facilitate execution of various environments where students gather. The intern will have a role in crafting dynamic atmospheres conducive to student interaction. These atmospheres include / but are not limited to Sunday programming, the creation and execution of a midweek program, small group settings, retreats, conferences, trips, events. The Intern must foster community relationships in his or her own life and in the church; and maintain effective working relationships with others on staff.

The intern will be given opportunities to speak into the vision and strategy of ministry, as well as learn how to effectively steward ministry in the local church. This intern will help oversee and execute the spiritual formation of Austin students as well as provide support to others ministering to students. This role includes / but is not limited to empowering, developing, and monitoring leadership and program development. This intern must foster community relationships in his or her own life and in the church; and maintain effective working relationships with others on staff.
