There are a lot of children's Bibles out there, and we know it can be hard for parents to find one that is thorough, theologically accurate, age-appropriate, and fun for kids and parents to read together. To help out families in our church, we have selected two of our favorite Bibles for young children. The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones and The Big Picture Story Bible by David Helm are two books that we stand behind, and we will soon have these available for purchase in our church's resource area.

Neither of these books is a full Bible, in that you cannot pick them up and look up Psalm 23 or 1 Corinthians 13. However, both authors have done a tremendous job of contextualizing and summarizing the ENTIRE Bible - the complete story of redemption. They present the Word of God to children in a way that is easily understood without compromising any of the deep truths of God. They also do an amazing job of showing how the Old and New Testaments both point to our Savior,  KEEP READING

Just a reminder that the links to our take homes for preschool and grade school are updated each Monday to reflect what we taught the day before. This month in Grade School, we are focusing on the virtue of honor, teaching our children that God desires for us to honor each other, and to honor Him with our lives. Our preschool children are learning about the life of Moses, using his story as an example of how God is always with us.

Feel free to bookmark the links below, and check back each week for helpful tools to build upon the lesson we taught this Sunday.

Yesterday was the last week of our church-wide series on godly stewardship. Our primary goal in Next Generation is to partner with our parents to bring your children up in Christ. That's why we want to make it as easy as possible to give parents resources on what we taught on Sunday in KidStuff, with ideas on how to go further with the lesson at home. So now, we are giving you our resources three ways: at check-out on Sunday, by email each week, and here on the NextGen blog.

Last week, we learned that everything belongs to God, and that He will take care of us and give us what we need. This week, we built upon that lesson by teaching our children that since everything belongs to God, that we can share with others. We learned that there is no need to store up things on earth, but that we should use what He gives us to help those in need. The preschool memory verse is included in the Small Talk during this series.
