Live in Community
We often look at our relationship with God as a personal endeavor, something we figure out and pursue privately. But while the God of the Bible does redeem people individually, this redemption is into a community, a Body of Christ-followers. At The Austin Stone, community is core to everything we do, from worship to learning to service; we view close-knit, honest, intentional relationship as integral to being a church on mission.
Looking for a small group? We call them Missional Communities.
Care & Counseling
We believe the local church should meet the needs of individuals, couples and families. At The Austin Stone, we do this primarily through relationships in missional communities. Often the people that know you the best are the ones who can best walk beside you when you go through difficult times in life. If you have needs that your small group cannot meet or if you are not yet in a missional community, please check out our Care & Counseling ministry for additional resources and people that you can talk to.
Recovery
Every one of us struggles. Each one is broken. Recovery at The Austin Stone is for everyone who is willing to have God begin to heal the damage done to them, the wounds they have inflicted on others and the lies they have believed about themselves. Recovery is a God centered program that addresses many issues like anger, lust, substance abuse, fear, shame, addiction, codependency, eating disorders, pornography, abuse, homosexuality, and depression. Within the framework of the traditional twelve steps, we will encounter Christ, working through Biblical principles, applying these principles to our lives, and allowing God to change and to heal.
