Foundation Communities owns and operates 23 affordable housing communities in Austin, including seven supportive housing studios. These supportive housing communities are comprised of efficient apartments for single adults and offer voluntary services including resource navigation, help with basic needs including household goods and food, access to mental healthcare, medical case management, and much more. Supper Clubs occur at these studio apartments, where access to healthy food can be a struggle for single adult residents living on limited incomes. The support groups provide by sharing nutritious meals and building community spirit can be incredibly meaningful!
Volunteer to host a Supper Club at a Foundation Communities supportive housing apartment complex for our recently-housed neighbors! Supper Clubs consist of eight to 15 people who provide a meal for the residents of Foundation Communities' apartment complex (usually about 40 people). Foundations Communities is very flexible with scheduling Supper Clubs and can work to find a time that works best for your group!
