Signing for the Deaf
Located under the bridge at 7th St and IH-35 on Sunday mornings, Church Under the Bridge is a place where the Body of Christ in Austin can build relationships with those living on the streets. Volunteers at CUB tangibly demonstrate the love of God to others through a corporate worship time and relationship building.
This particular opportunity is for people with two years of signing experience, including knowledge of Biblical signs who could translate the message and worship into sign for the deaf folks that attend Church Under the Bridge. Please sign up if you have this gift!
Usher Team
We need individuals to host inside the sanctuary, and administrate and receive the offering each week at the end of service. Because this opportunity deals with receiving money from offering, we ask that you would be a Partner before considering this kind of service.

Audio/Video/Lights/Cameras
AVLC (Audio, Video, Lights Camera) is the behind-the-scenes team that helps everything run smoothly during our Sunday worship services. They’re doing their job when you don’t notice them, and are enabled to worship God fully. The crew is made up of creatives, gamers, artists, coders, and just your average joe’s and johanna’s. Technical prowess is a plus but not a requirement; if you want to be a part of making Sunday’s happen and are willing to learn, you’re welcome on AVLC.
Peer Counseling
Peer Counselors meet with Austin Lifecare clients to administer pregnancy tests, offer options counseling, and support services.
Hannah’s Closet
Hannah’s Closet provides maternity, baby clothes, and infant items to clients in need.
The closet is overflowing but moms are having to wait for over a month for an appointment because there aren’t enough volunteers to give the clothes away. The solution is as simple as having more volunteers. More volunteers means more clothes given out.
PALS (Partners in Affirming Life)
Austin Lifecafe’s PALS (Partners in Affirming Life) are volunteers who mentor women/girls during their pregnancy by staying in contact with them on a regular basis (phone, email or in person) to provide emotional and spiritual support. Share the love of Christ and provide these women the opportunity to live in community. In addition to spending time weekly with your mentee, there is an additional monthly meeting from 10am-12pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
