Our Fall course schedule will go online in late August.

Leadership track

Leadership in our society is sold as something to aspire to – a place where you can make the most money, have the most influence and be in charge of everyone else. Those may be things that people aspire to for various reasons, but is that what it really means to be a leader?

When Jesus went looking for leaders he sought out people that would follow; people characterized more by humility and service than by knowledge and power. These men and women were unqualified, but they realized it. And their dependence on God changed not just their lives but their families, communities and cities as well.

Leadership Track is for everyone in our church. You are the church; if you’re a follower of Jesus you have a responsibility to be a leader in love, justice and mercy – wherever you are.

Leadership Track is a place to get trained for the leadership roles you are already in, as well as to get plugged in to new areas of service. By the end of the various tracks, our aim is that you will be refreshed and prepared, with specific leadership goals for the coming year.

The Schedule:

Sunday June 8: Large gatherings during each of our worship services to talk about general leadership principles and to provide an overview of who’s leading where in our church.

Sunday, June 15: Currently serving leaders will be able to choose from a variety of breakout sessions to improve on specific skills. New leaders will continue walking through foundational aspects of leadership. Both new and existing leaders will meet with an advisor to choose a specific leadership track for the rest of the summer.

Various dates starting June 22, ending no later than August 3: Specialized tracks will focus on helping you lead either where you already are or where you’re considering serving in the future. Most tracks will have different sections based on experience levels and skills sets and will focus heavily on practice. Sections vary in length and while most will meet on Sundays, some will meet during the week.
